It’s past 5 o’clock, the kids are home from school, all hungry and tired. Everyone’s energy is running low and you know it’s time to start preparing dinner even though you just feel like crashing the couch for a little while before getting started.
And then all of a sudden it’s here. The Summer we’ve been longing for!
Do you know that feeling when you have been looking forward to something for a long time and all of the sudden it’s there?
There you are! You’ve found your way to hygge heaven or at least to our little place of inspiration for parents who wish to make the every day life just a little better.
Today, I’ll share my ideas on how to make your mornings, not perfect, but easier and hopefully a bit cosier.
Oh yes. Spring is here. And so is the light. And the longer days. I have literally been longing for this time to come. Eventhough the Winter months are perfect for cosy moments at home, candle light, baking and warm soup, it’s also cold and dark.

Have you had the time to go outside for a while this week? Even just for a short walk?
Hygge is a really great way to practice gratitude, optimism, and simple, intentional living.
It’s an all year thing, but I become more aware of it’s significance as the days become shorter and the darkness surrounds us in our corner of the world this time of year.
So much hardship and difficulty surround us on many levels. Even when you try to keep your distance for a while, it only takes a click on the telly remote and you find yourself in the middle of conflicts and war.
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t believe we should ignore the facts or not engage ourselves. On the contrary. But in order to participate in a way that makes sense in your life a balanced approach is beneficiial. It’s a privileged approach, I know. And this where gratitude plays a role.
